Day 1: Scenic Flight to Pokhara & Gateway to the Trans-Himalayas
Board a morning flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, enjoying sweeping aerial views of the Annapurna mountain range. Check into your hotel by the peaceful Phewa Lake. In the afternoon, visit the serene Tal Barahi Temple situated on an island in the middle of the lake, followed by an evening orientation and briefing for your upcoming spiritual journey into Mustang.
Day 2: Journey to Jomsom & The Wind-Swept Trails of Kagbeni
Take an early morning dramatic mountain flight over the world's deepest gorge (Kali Gandaki) to Jomsom. Begin your trek or Jeep drive alongside the rushing Kali Gandaki River to the medieval gateway village of Kagbeni. Explore its labyrinthine alleyways, ancient fortress ruins, and the historic Kagbeni Monastery where centuries of trading and spiritual history intersect.
Day 3: Sacred Waters of Muktinath & The Eternal Flame
Ascend to the hallowed sanctuary of Muktinath (3,800m). Participate in the powerful ritual of cleansing your karma by passing beneath the 108 icy water spouts and bathing in the sacred twin kundas. Visit the temple shrine to witness the miraculous natural phenomenon of the eternal burning flame fueled by natural gas alongside flowing water—a profound symbol of the union of elements.
