Cancellation Policy

Deposit

A deposit (typically 20% of the trek price) is required to confirm a booking and is used to secure permits, guide assignment and accommodation.

Cancellation by the Traveler

• 60+ days before departure: deposit less an administrative fee is refundable.
• 30–59 days before departure: 50% of the total trek cost is refundable.
• Under 30 days before departure: no refund, though rescheduling may be possible.

Cancellation by Shailung Trails & Trekking

If a departure is cancelled by the company (for example, insufficient group size on a fixed departure), travelers may choose a full refund or transfer to another available date.

Force Majeure

For cancellations caused by events outside our control — natural disasters, government permit suspensions, or similar — we will work with travelers on rescheduling where possible; refund terms in these cases may differ from the standard schedule above.
