After arriving in Leh, please allow at least 48 hours to acclimatize before travelling to higher areas. Stay hydrated, take things slowly, and follow your guide’s advice. The Himalayan Ladakh Adventure & High Pass Expedition is an exciting high-altitude journey through the spectacular landscapes of Ladakh, India. This 12-day adventure combines dramatic Himalayan mountain scenery, ancient Buddhist monasteries, remote valleys, turquoise alpine lakes, traditional Ladakhi villages and some of the world's most impressive high mountain passes. Beginning in Leh, the journey allows sufficient time for acclimatization before heading into the high-altitude regions of Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake. The expedition crosses legendary mountain passes including Khardung La, Chang La and Tanglang La, with breathtaking views of rugged Himalayan peaks, glaciers, barren mountains and deep valleys. The journey continues through the remote landscapes around Tso Moriri and Tso Kar, offering an opportunity to experience the quieter and less-visited side of Ladakh. Guests should rest, drink plenty of water and allow their bodies to adjust to the altitude

03LEH ACCLIMATIZATION & LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

Today is dedicated to acclimatization. After a relaxed morning, enjoy light sightseeing around Leh. Visit Shanti Stupa Leh Palace Namgyal Tsemo Leh Market Local Buddhist cultural sites The sightseeing is kept relatively easy so guests can gradually adapt to the altitude.

04LEH – KHARDUNG LA – NUBRA VALLEY

After breakfast, the real high-pass expedition begins. Drive north from Leh towards Khardung La, one of Ladakh's iconic mountain passes and the gateway towards Nubra Valley. After crossing the high pass, descend dramatically into Nubra. Continue towards Hunder, famous for its cold desert landscape and Bactrian camels.

05NUBRA VALLEY EXPLORATION

Today is dedicated to exploring the beautiful Nubra Valley. Visit Diskit Monastery The monastery overlooks the valley and offers spectacular Himalayan views. Continue towards Hunder Sand Dunes, where guests can experience the unique cold-desert environment. Optional activities such as a Bactrian camel ride can be arranged locally. 06NUBRA – SHYOK – PANGONG LAKE

After breakfast, begin the scenic drive through the Shyok Valley towards Pangong Lake. This is one of the most spectacular road journeys of the expedition. The landscape changes continuously—from rugged mountain valleys to vast barren high-altitude terrain. Arrive at Pangong Lake in the afternoon. Enjoy the spectacular surroundings and sunset. 07PANGONG – CHANG LA – LEH

Wake up early to enjoy the beautiful morning scenery of Pangong Lake. After breakfast, drive back towards Leh via Chang La Pass. Chang La is another spectacular high pass of the expedition. After breakfast, continue towards Tso Kar. Tso Kar is a beautiful high-altitude lake and wetland surrounded by spectacular mountain landscapes.
