01Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, meet the Shailung Trails team, transfer to your hotel, and review the trek plan, permits, and gear checklist.
02Kathmandu to Pokhara
Travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus, private vehicle, or optional flight. Settle beside Phewa Lake and meet the trekking crew for the final route briefing.
03Pokhara to Klue by drive, trek to Ghandruk
Drive from Pokhara to Klue, then begin the trek with a 7 km walk of about 4-5 hours to Ghandruk, a beautiful Gurung village facing the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre ranges.
04Ghandruk to Chhomrong
Follow village trails, forest sections, and terraced hillsides toward Chhomrong, the gateway village for the Annapurna Sanctuary route. Walking is approximately 10 km over 6-7 hours.
05Chhomrong to Bamboo
Descend stone steps to the Chhomrong Khola, cross the bridge, and climb through Sinuwa into bamboo and rhododendron forest before reaching Bamboo. Walking is approximately 10 km over 5-6 hours.
06Bamboo to Deurali
Trek deeper into the Modi Khola valley through forest and narrowing gorge scenery, passing Himalayan Hotel and Hinku Cave before reaching Deurali at around 3,200 m. Walking is approximately 9 km over 5-6 hours.
07Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp
Climb into the high sanctuary via Machhapuchhre Base Camp at around 3,700 m, then continue to Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 m. The 8 km trail usually takes about 6 hours and opens into a dramatic mountain amphitheater.
08Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo
Wake early for sanctuary views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and Machhapuchhre, then retrace the trail down through MBC and Deurali to Bamboo. Walking is approximately 13 km over 8-9 hours.
09Bamboo to Jhinu Hot Spring
Return through forest and village trail toward Jhinu Danda. After the day's 8 km walk of about 5-6 hours, relax near the natural hot springs beside the river.
10Jhinu Hot Spring to Jhinu Bridge, drive to Pokhara
Take the short final walk to Jhinu Bridge, then drive about 60 km back to Pokhara. The trek ends at the lakeside, with the evening free to rest or continue onward travel.
