Arrive in Lhasa via Gonggar Airport or the Qinghai-Tibet Railway. Meet your local guide and driver, then transfer to your hotel in the city. The remainder of the day is crucial for resting and acclimatizing to Lhasa's high altitude (3,650m). Take it easy, drink plenty of water, and enjoy a light walk around the hotel block in the evening.

Begin your morning with a visit to the iconic Potala Palace, towering over the city and offering panoramic views of the Lhasa valley. Explore its historic white and red palaces, grand assembly halls, and precious tombs. In the afternoon, visit the spiritual heart of Tibet, the Jokhang Temple, and experience the devout pilgrims walking the sacred Barkhor circuit.

Head to the foothills of western Lhasa to explore Drepung Monastery, once the largest monastery in the world and historical seat of the Dalai Lamas. In the afternoon, visit Sera Monastery to witness the energetic and vibrant monk philosophical debates in the courtyard, a fascinating centuries-old tradition.

Drive out of Lhasa and ascend the breathtaking Kamba-la Pass (4,794m) for stunning, bird's-eye views of the brilliant turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake, framed by snow-capped peaks. Continue your scenic drive past the dramatic Karo-la Glacier down to the historic town of Gyantse.

Morning exploration of Gyantse's architectural treasures, including the majestic Pelkor Chode Monastery and its famous multi-tiered Kumbum Stupa, renowned for its unique murals and shrines. Afterward, take a short, scenic drive across the fertile agricultural plains of the Nyangchu Valley to Shigatse, Tibet's second-largest city.

Visit the magnificent Tashilunpo Monastery in Shigatse, the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama and home to the world's largest gilded bronze statue of Maitreya (Future Buddha). After exploring the sprawling monastic complex, drive back along the friendship highway following the Yarlung Tsangpo (Brahmaputra) River back to Lhasa.

Enjoy your final morning in Tibet. Depending on your schedule, your guide and driver will assist with your transfer to Lhasa Gonggar Airport or the railway station for your onward journey home or to your next destination.
