02Lhasa City Sightseeing: Potala & Jokhang

Begin your morning with a visit to the iconic Potala Palace, towering over the city and offering panoramic views of the Lhasa valley. Explore its historic white and red palaces, grand assembly halls, and precious tombs. In the afternoon, visit the spiritual heart of Tibet, the Jokhang Temple, and experience the devout pilgrims walking the sacred Barkhor circuit.

Visit the magnificent Tashilunpo Monastery in Shigatse, the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama and home to the world's largest gilded bronze statue of Maitreya (Future Buddha). After exploring the sprawling monastic complex, drive back along the friendship highway following the Yarlung Tsangpo (Brahmaputra) River back to Lhasa.
