A short orientation will introduce the philosophy of the retreat, mindful travel, respectful behaviour at a meditation centre, and the importance of maintaining a peaceful state of mind during the retreat. In the evening, enjoy a carefully arranged welcome dinner before an early rest.

Following appropriate guidance, guests may explore aspects of Vipassanā / insight meditation, observing the changing nature of physical and mental experiences with mindfulness. The practice may focus on developing awareness of: Body and bodily sensations Feelings Mental states Changing phenomena Impermanence and mindful observation Depending on the centre's programme, a Dhamma teaching may further explain Buddhist principles related to Anicca (impermanence), Dukkha (unsatisfactoriness) and Anattā (non-self). Later, a gentle nature walk provides an opportunity for walking meditation and Himalayan nature contemplation. The surrounding forests, mountains and peaceful village landscape become part of the spiritual experience. The day ends quietly, allowing guests to reflect on their personal experience.
- 03 · The finaleKATHMANDU SPIRITUAL & CULTURAL EXPERIENCE – FINAL DEPARTURE
After a relaxed breakfast, enjoy a carefully selected Kathmandu cultural and spiritual experience. Depending on the flight schedule, the day may include visits to selected UNESCO World Heritage and Buddhist/Hindu spiritual sites. The final day is intentionally relaxed rather than crowded with sightseeing. After the programme, our representative will provide a private transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight. As the journey concludes, guests depart Nepal carrying not only photographs and memories, but also a deeper experience of Himalayan peace, mindfulness and spiritual reflection. 02KATHMANDU – DOLAKHA / FASKU – JOURNEY INTO THE HIMALAYAN SILENCE
After breakfast, we begin our private journey from Kathmandu towards Dolakha. The road gradually leaves the busy Kathmandu Valley and enters the peaceful Himalayan hills. Along the way, guests can enjoy beautiful landscapes, terraced farmland, rivers, forests and traditional villages. After reaching the Fasku/Sailung area, we settle into our accommodation and allow the body and mind to adjust to the peaceful surroundings. The evening is intentionally kept simple. Guests may enjoy a short mindful walk, quiet reflection and, subject to the centre's programme, an introductory meditation session. The objective of the first evening is not intensive practice but letting go of the busy rhythm of everyday life and entering a slower, more mindful environment.
03SPIRITUAL IMMERSION – INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION
The day begins early with the peaceful Himalayan atmosphere. Following the centre's schedule and guidance, guests may participate in an introductory meditation session focusing on mindfulness of breathing (Ānāpānasati). After breakfast, guests receive an introduction to the principles of meditation, mindful awareness and the importance of ethical conduct in Buddhist practice. The day allows sufficient time for: Seated meditation Mindful walking Quiet reflection Dhamma listening Nature contemplation Personal meditation practice The afternoon is intentionally unhurried. Guests can spend time in silence, read, meditate or simply observe the surrounding Himalayan environment. The evening concludes with a peaceful meditation or Mettā practice, subject to the centre's programme.

06CLOSING MEDITATION – REFLECTION – RETURN TO KATHMANDU
Begin the morning with a final meditation session according to the centre's schedule. Guests have time for personal reflection and to integrate the lessons and experiences of the retreat. If permitted by the meditation centre, the programme may conclude with a short closing Dhamma session, blessing or sharing. After breakfast/lunch, we begin our private journey back to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu, check in to your luxury hotel and enjoy time to relax. In the evening, Shailung Trails & Trekking hosts a special farewell dinner, providing an opportunity to reflect on the journey from the busy city to the peaceful Himalayan retreat.
